CHRISTOPHER PATERSON managing director
Christopher is a founding partner of ALCHEMY and as managing director he ensures that ALCHEMY facilitates extraordinary outcomes across our four passions: Career Transition, Coaching, Wellness@Work and Business Transformation.
Christopher has worked in Human Resources Consulting and Coaching for over 20 years in Australian, European, US and Asian markets. With a background in business psychology, Christopher specialises in behaviour change on an individual and organisational level.
Christopher’s psychology degree and post graduate studies in Organisational Psychology were completed at Macquarie University (BA Psych, PG DIP Org Psych) and subsequent studies have covered Coaching, Wellbeing, Neuroleadership and Change Management.
PETER BLACK practice leader, ALCHEMY coaching
Peter is a Business / Executive Coach and the ALCHEMY partner responsible for the leadership of the Coaching practice.
Peter is a Chartered Accountant and worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers for 26 years before commencing a portfolio career which includes 5 years with global career transition company DBM as an Executive Coach and 5 years as a Group Chair of SME CEO’s with The Executive Connection (TEC).
Peter is an active presenter and media commentator on change, leadership, mature age workers, retirement and technology as well as being a Brand Ambassador with Lenovo and an active social media expert.
PHILIPPA FLOWERDAY partner
Philippa is a partner at ALCHEMY and has a particular passion for helping others to identify and maximise their potential. She is an accomplished relationship manager and enjoys developing deep connections with her clients and understanding their business drivers.
Philippa‘s background of over 15 years includes coaching, career management, talent management, recruitment and leadership development in Australia and New Zealand.
Philippa completed her honours degree in Industrial and Organisational Psychology at Victoria University, Wellington. Subsequent training and accreditation includes Lominger Leadership Architect Suite, Voices and Choices, DDI Targeted Selection and Interaction Management, 360 feedback, SHL assessment tools and Wellness@Work.
ALISON SKATE coaching partner
Alison Skate is a Human Performance Specialist and has over 19 years of experience in the field of workplace psychology and coaching. Her diverse career began as a Psychologist in the Australian Army where she gained in depth experience in personnel assessment, counselling, workplace coaching, training, research and leadership.
Since leaving Defence, Alison has worked with the Special Air Service [SAS] Regiment in the area of accelerated learning and performance.
Alison has coached key personnel in international corporations, government organisations, and growing enterprises. Alison specialises in coaching managers to navigate the challenges of becoming a transformational leader.
KAREN DOUGLAS coach and project manager
Karen is a Coach and Project Manager who has over 15 years’ experience in HR, Career Management, Talent Management and Recruitment. Karen has a professional services background, with significant experience working with clients in the private, public and non-profit sectors.
Karen’s approach draws on coaching, counselling and training. Her goal is to help people through change and achieve the best possible career and life outcomes. Karen also has a track record of managing organisation wide HR projects. At ALCHEMY, she manages a network of 25 coaches to deliver nation-wide career programs.
Karen holds a Bachelor of Arts, Psychology and is an active member of the Career Development Association (CDAA). She has also completed specialist programs in coaching, workplace training and assessment, advanced facilitation, grief and loss, mindfulness and meditation.
LORRAINE SEMBRANO project manager
Lorraine is a project manager with a passion for customer service who works with ALCHEMY clients in multiple countries and time zones. Lorraine has a background in professional and financial services with specific experience in Human Resources.
Lorraine manages ALCHEMY projects across all four practices and leads the business administration function. In this capacity, Lorraine supports the partners with their client and account facing activities.
Lorraine holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at De La Salle University and is trained in projects management, CRM, office administration, financial reporting and relationship management.
